Which, like the rundemo.py, brought up a Firefox window without the requested URL. Then in a Python interactive window I did this: and work through the steps of the test case, so this proved that the demoapp server and Firefox could work together OK. In a normal Firefox window I could manually go to this url: I started the demoapp manually like this: I've just found some further information about this issue. I feel like I must be missing some very fundamental step in setting up Selenium2, but after a day of head-banging I can't figure out what's wrong. Line returns without doing anything to the open browser. I've also tried "plain" Selenium2 using the instructions here: Īnd I get the same kind of result. It doesn't even appear in the URL line of the browser. What happens is that a browser window opens (Firefox) but the requested URL is never followed. I then tried to run the demo and got the log.html file attached. I followed the instructions here: and downloaded and unzipped the whole source tree, including the /demo folder. Now I'm trying to get back into web testing, starting with Selenium2Library. Many years ago I worked with Robot Framework and Selenium.
